Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 2026

NoTrace.site is designed to keep note sharing temporary. The service does not require user accounts, stores notes in encrypted form, and removes them after expiry or after a Burner read.

This policy explains what information NoTrace.site handles when you use the service, create a temporary note, retrieve a note, or contact support.

1. Account-Free Access

NoTrace.site does not require you to create an account to make or read a note. For the practical workflow, see How It Works and Create a Note.

2. Temporary Notes

Notes are created with an expiry and are intended for temporary use. Burner notes are intended for one-time reading. Standard notes remain available until their timer expires. If you want a broader overview of where these modes fit, visit Use Cases.

3. Encrypted Storage

The note body is stored in encrypted form so the service is not keeping plain-text note content at rest in the database.

4. Security-Related Processing

To protect the service from abuse, infrastructure may temporarily process information such as IP addresses for security checks and rate limiting. The site also uses Cloudflare Turnstile when creating notes and when preparing secure note access. For the practical product explanation, see the Security page and the FAQ.

5. Sharing Features

Share links, including QR output generated by the site, are created locally in your browser as part of the sharing workflow.

6. Support Emails

If you email NoTrace.site, your email address and message are used to respond to your request. You can reach the team through the Contact page.

7. Third-Party Infrastructure

We rely on infrastructure providers to operate the service, including:

  • Cloudflare: DNS, delivery, and Turnstile security checks.
  • Upstash Redis: temporary note storage and expiry handling.

8. Contact

If you have questions about privacy or need to report an issue, please contact us. The related legal rules are covered in the Terms of Service.
